This position works independently to ensure timely, effective coverage of maintenance functions. The position is responsible for the oversight/supervision of Maintenance Technicians. The position provides technical process/innovation/project implementation support throughout the facility. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel, including the mechanically challenged, is of significant importance within this position. The ability to coordinate jobs and changes, complete and follow up after finished. This position must be able to coach and mentor people to understand the details of the processes.
You will supervise, manage, direct, schedule all activities for Maintenance Technicians. You will lead site PSM Program, Small Project to drive continuous improvements.
You will coach, train Maintenance Technicians in preventative maintenance functions and troubleshooting of machinery in order to reduce downtime and maximize efficiencies.
You will also be managing the scheduling, training, and supervision of Maintenance Technicians. You will communicate with manufacturing department regarding issues that need to be addressed by the maintenance department.
You will coordinate with production and freezer/warehouse departments, changeovers and moving of equipment to storage.
You will develop and follow established standard operating procedures for safety, health, environment and production.
You will drive Sustainability in the Factory.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
5-10 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work with and lead teams comprised of all personnel levels.
Ability to work a variety of shift schedules.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
