Test, analyse, and interpret results for microbiology, raw material, in-process and finished product samples submitted from all parts of the organization. Operate Celsis luminometer, rapid testing for microbiology. Provide timely and detailed investigation summaries during root cause analysis relating to microbiology and sanitation.
Ensure daily that appropriate materials and products are microbiologically sampled, tested and released from the warehouse management system (WMS), LENS, and SAP.
Perform random micro-testing as required or where required for contract manufacturing business.
Maintain all logs in the laboratory.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment as required per the maintenance and calibration schedule.
Assist in validation of sanitization protocols for operations and compounding.
Assist in selection and ongoing performance evaluation of sanitizers to support “micro clean” operations.
Provide direction/technical support to Unilever personnel relative to sanitization and preservation.
Order supplies and maintain lab inventories.
Follow all safety, quality, GLPs and cGMP policies and requirements.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in a Science or Technical related field
QA exposure in plant environment
Strong Analytical & technical thought process
Excellent oral, written communication and effective interpersonal skills; and be able to communicate test results and deliver presentations to peer-to-peer, Supervisors, and Leadership/Management teams.
