This is a business development role working within the distributive trade business. You will be responsible for developing existing and identifying new accounts across the nation. These accounts are to be developed through close collaboration with the National Chains and Regional Account teams. Key to this role is utilising the PULL through PUSH model. This role will be responsible for developing the customer base and delivering business growth through great relationship management, face to face sales and product sampling. A true hunter, farmer growth mind set will be essential.
Hunt and grow customer base to reach more customers and drive product penetration.
Develop customer strategy’s and build joint business plans aligned to business strategy to deliver business target set yearly.
Networking to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships aligned to the key business priorities.
Attend and network at external industry forums/events as well as customer account meetings.
Deliver customer agreements and proposals aligned to specific customer needs.
Use internal systems as the basis for all customer investment and activity decisions.
Develop and deliver annual business plans through collaboration with key customers.
Engage, educate and develop customer sales teams and be the go to person/supplier.
Negotiate to agree chain account agreements within an allocated budget/policies.
Work autonomously as well as form and sustain long terms working relationships with a variety of customers.
Multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
Build relationships with strong listening and communication skills.
Analyse data and act on it accordingly.
Minimum two years sales experience
Experience in End User/Regional account management or Trade account management
Degree level qualification desired
Strong presentation and communication skills as you will communicate across many levels in business
Experience in handling commercial agreements
IT proficiency essential - Microsoft office applications to intermediate standard
